The Department of Islamic Religious Affairs of Pahang (JAIP) held a meeting with Kampung Ubai residents on 27 October 2026 (16 Jamadilawal 1448H) at Masjid Negeri Sultan Ahmad 1, Kuantan.
The meeting was chaired by the Village Head of Kampung Ubai, Mr. Alias bin Ibrahim, together with the Chairman of Kampung Ubai Mosque, Mr. Haji Omar bin Ahmad. Attendees also included YH Tok Muda Dato’ Haji Ahmad Khirrizal bin Ab Rahman, Director of JAIP; YH Dato’ Haji Abdul Zaki bin Md. Zain, Deputy Director of JAIP; YH Dato’ Haji Mohd Rizzal bin Mohd Ali Nafiah, Chief Imam of Masjid Negeri Sultan Ahmad 1; and senior Assistant Directors of JAIP.
The discussion focused on planning religious programmes and dakwah activities suitable for the local community, as well as efforts to strengthen religious understanding, enliven mosque activities and foster closer ties between JAIP and the community.
Community representatives reported that practices contrary to Islamic law are no longer observed in Kampung Ubai. JAIP emphasized the importance of the community steadfastly adhering to the Ahli Sunnah Wal Jamaah creed and ensuring all religious activities align with Islamic requirements.
