On 2 November 2026 (22 Jamadilawal 1448H), the Pahang State Government held a Friendly Reception and Donation Presentation at Dewan Malaysia Abbasiah, Kaherah, to demonstrate its concern for the welfare of Pahang students pursuing their studies in Egypt.
The ceremony was chaired by YB Dato’ Sri Syed Ibrahim bin Syed Ahmad, Chairman of the Committee on Islamic Religious Affairs, Rural Development and Indigenous Peoples of Pahang. Attendees included YBrs. Mr Ahmad Zuwairi Yusofe, Deputy Head of Representation and Acting Minister at the Malaysian Embassy; YBhg. Dato’ Shamsul Najmi bin Haji Shamsuddin, Advisory Education Minister at the Malaysian Embassy; YH Dato’ Ts. Gs. Dr. Mohd Zakaria bin Ibrahim, Deputy Secretary of the Pahang Government; and YH Tok Muda Dato’ Haji Ahmad Khirrizal bin Ab Rahman, Director of the Pahang Department of Islamic Affairs.
The event underscored the state government's commitment to continuously monitor the welfare of its students and to strengthen ties between state leadership and scholars in Egypt. It is hoped that the contributions presented will inspire the students to pursue knowledge, achieve academic excellence, and later contribute to the religion, nation and the prosperous state of Pahang Darul Makmur.
