The Department of Islamic Religious Affairs of Pahang (JAIP) continued to strengthen its information security management capability by organizing an Internal Audit Training for the Information Security Management System (ISMS) ISO/IEC 27001:2022, held over four days from 26 to 29 October 2026.
The training took place at Dewan Shah Bandar, Masjid Sultan Ahmad 1, Kuantan and involved 40 JAIP officers representing each division involved in the department’s ISMS implementation.
The invited speaker, Ms. Wan Nor Asiah binti Wan Nawi, Senior Training Consultant, Digital Technology Training Section, IMATEC, INTAN Bukit Kiara, Kuala Lumpur, led sessions covering audit planning, audit techniques, audit finding documentation, and the preparation of Non-Conformity Reports (NCR) and Opportunities for Improvement (OFI).
Participants also engaged in practical simulations including Open Meeting, Audit Walkthrough at the Data Center, and Closing Meeting to illustrate the internal audit process.
The training is expected to enhance the competency of JAIP officers and reinforce ISMS implementation in line with ISO/IEC 27001:2022, particularly performance evaluation under Clause 9.
